Slice of Life Day 18
My daughter has been home sick almost this whole week and in between Disney movies she has felt well enough to play Uno.
Sometimes she will deal and the cards will be totally random, other times she’ll have all the reverse, plus two, and skip cards, or the most coveted wild card and draw four hand! Sometimes she is sneaky about it, sometimes she is completely obvious! Sometimes I will let her win, sometimes I end up with the winning hand and really hand it to her.
The reverse, skip, draw four sequence from her was a real douse. When I thought losing with 14 cards left in my hand was bad, the next round was 15!
You win some, you lose some, but more than a few rounds of cards has helped nurse her back to health and brighten her spirits. Uno anyone?
Awww! I feel as if this post perfectly captures that developmental stage where sometimes they can play flair, and sometimes they just can’t stand it and have to “stack the deck”!

Fair, not flair!

Uno is such a classic game. That reminded me that I need to put that back into our family game night rotation! I hope your daughter feels better before the weekend is over!

What a fun slice! I’m sorry she isn’t well, but glad she’s well enough to play Uno! 🙂 Wishing her a speedy recovery.

My 9 yr old loves card games! When she’s not feeling well, card games are always helpful. Hope your daughter feels better soon!

Who doesn’t love a good game of Uno. It’s a favorite in our house and my kids are older!

I love Uno. However, my best friend plays Uno super competitively. I can’t play with her because she’s too intense about Uno.

Aw, so sweet. Loved your slice. My son loves uni and I have some nice memories of playing with him. And whenever it’s just us at home, I always known in can engage him with a game.
