Leprechaun Footprints

Slice of Life: Day 17

“Did you see any leprechaun footprints?”
“I don’t know, buddy.  I haven’t been downstairs yet.”
Hehehe. “Let’s go look!”
Green and gold confetti glitter was scattered around the house last night… on the floor at the front door, on the bench, in the family room on the table, in the bathroom on the counter, on the dining room table and bench, in the kitchen on the counter and island, on the floor at the patio door.  Gold chocolate coins left behind, St. Patty’s Day bracelet and barrette as well.
“Look Mom! It’s a clue!  The leprechaun left a clue!”
Smiles, giggles and just pure joy and excitement that a leprechaun came!
“Hmm… I wonder why no leprechaun footprints though.”
“He must have been trying to be extra sneaky.”
“I will have to make a trap next time.”
“Good idea!”
Never have we celebrated St. Patrick’s Day in this way, but the excitement my son has had leading up to today and his excitement today running through the house made it all worth it!

  1. This is awesome! What a cute idea! I could feel the excitement in your post – your son must have been so excited. “Green and gold confetti glitter was scattered around the house last night…” – Love this line – this is a true sign that a leprechaun has been at your house. Thank you for sharing!
